Basashi is horse meat that is served raw. It is a popular snack served in izakayas which are Japanese pubs. Slather on freshly grated ginger, scallions and sweet onion before tasting a piece.
This cuisine is definitely unforgettable! Being back in LA, I definitely miss this dish the most! I haven't found a restaurant in America that can replicate this cuisine taste sadly.
I recommend going to Dotobori Street because they have the best service and it was a great experience there!
